Aluminium Bait Board – Side Kick
Big function, less bulk.
The Side Kick Aluminium Bait Board is a compact, lightweight bait board designed for smaller boats, tight spaces and gunwale-mounted setups.
Built from marine-grade aluminium, it provides a strong and practical alternative to bulky plastic bait boards while giving you the flexibility to use an FLF mounting option or adapt it to a compatible mounting system you already own.

Mounting options
The Side Kick is available with several FLF mounting options or with a solid plastic base for customers who want to fit their own compatible mount.
BYO Mount – Plastic Base Only
This option includes the Side Kick with a solid plastic mounting plate underneath the board.
It does not include a post, RAILBLAZA Adjustable Platform, StarPort or boat-side mounting hardware. The plastic plate allows a suitable rod-holder mount, custom post or third-party mounting system to be fitted by the customer.
Ideal for Stabicraft boats
A popular aluminium upgrade for Stabicraft boats already fitted with a compatible RAILBLAZA bait board system. Select BYO Mount – Plastic Base Only to use your existing RAILBLAZA mounting setup.
The Side Kick also suits a wide range of other boats and compatible mounting systems.
RAILBLAZA components are not included or sold by FLF.
Using a RAILBLAZA mounting system
To use the Side Kick with a compatible RAILBLAZA setup:

Select BYO Mount – Plastic Base Only.

Fit an existing or separately purchased RAILBLAZA Adjustable Platform to the plastic plate underneath the Side Kick.

Insert the platform into the compatible RAILBLAZA StarPort or rail-mounted base already fitted to your boat.
Important: FLF does not sell or include any RAILBLAZA components. The Adjustable Platform, StarPort and boat-side mounting hardware must be supplied by the customer or purchased separately.
The finished height will depend on the RAILBLAZA base being used and the angle of the Adjustable Platform. On the setup pictured, the distance from the top of the boat-side mount to the underside of the bait board is approximately 70mm.

FAQs
What if my boat isn't listed under Motor Mount options?
If your boat isn't listed, that means we have not had one in the workshop to get a 3D Scan of so we can't send a mount out until someone locally brings their boat in to get one fitted.
Alternatively if you knew someone local that had the same model boat, they could bring their boat into the shop to get 3D scanned and we can design it from there.
How do I know if the product will suit my boat?
All products on the website from the rod holder rack and bait board to the push lock range have multiple mounting options to suit every set up.
Options are listed under each product for different mounting faces and stick on verse screwed/riveted set ups so check the product pages for each mounting set up to see what suits your boat best.
What's the warranty on First Light products?
All products have a 1 year warranty period which includes all push lock and 3D printed products.
If you have any issues with anything, get in touch and we will get replacements sent out ASAP to keep you on the water.
What type of custom jobs do you do?
As the business has progressed we have started to perfect our craft and move away from areas that we don't excel in.
As a fabrication company only now, we no longer offer any electrical services/fit out.
With our primary fabrication focus being Aluminium, we only do smaller stainless steel jobs and do no steel work in the workshop.
Where do you ship your orders to?
We have many customers that that have bought our products from not only all over Australia but also overseas including New Zealand and the USA.
We can ship our products to almost anywhere provided that you are aware that there will often be significant shipping costs for some of or larger options so it may be to costly of a choice for you.
